1524 · 3'2" x 13'1" Persian Hamedan Runner Rug

The diamond medallion with a cream core and a blue and brown outline makes this an amazing rug. At the center of a beige field, a diamond medallion with a cream core and a blue and brown outline sits in a notched cartouche with pendants above and below. Brown vines, small rosettes and touches of steel blue fill the rest of the field in a dense repeat down the length. A cream main border carries brown scrolling stems with pretty blue and tan flowers, closed on each side by narrow guard stripes of brown vine. The pile is full over the face and in each border. In a passage, the beige ground and small blue notes prevent the brown from looking heavy. At 3'2" by 13'1", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
