A stepped diamond medallion in near-black and camel makes this a lovely rug. Across a deep red field, a stepped diamond medallion in near-black and camel sits at the center with small pendants. Large corner spandrels in near-black hold columns of dainty linked rosettes in red and cream, edged by a jagged camel line. The handsome main border is deep red with a row of small geometric forms in gray and brown. Narrow guard stripes in camel and near-black frame the field on every side. A few patches of low pile show small white specks, mostly in the red field. It anchors a small space with its strong red and near-black geometric drawing. At 3'5" by 6'1", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
