8445 · 6'9" x 10'2" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

This charming rug holds a large lobed medallion on a terracotta field. On a terracotta field, small scrolling vines and blossoms in cream, green and brown fill the open ground. A large lobed medallion sits at the center, its pretty cream rosette ringed in dark blue. Dark blue pendants reach up and down from the lobed medallion into the terracotta space. Pale green corners each hold a brown boteh, the paisley leaf-drop. The main border is dark blue, carrying dainty pink rosettes and cream curling leaves. The pile has thinned in a few patches across the face, and the foundation shows in spots. It grounds a room, and the dark blue border frames the warm center. At 6'9" by 10'2", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
