3315 · 3'10" x 18'10" Persian Hamedan Runner Rug

Scrolling vines and small blossoms repeat down the length of this charming runner. On a beige field, delicate scrolling vines and small blossoms in sage, brown and blue repeat down the length. Lobed cartouches in brown and near-black are strung down the center in place of a single medallion. Its main border sits on a near-black ground, carrying pretty tan and brown flower heads and curling leaves with touches of sage. Slim guard bands of tan and brown, set with small gray-blue triangles, flank the main border. A scatter of pale specks marks a few low spots in the pile. A light antique wash softened the colors without reaching the drawing. The beige field keeps the near-black border from looking heavy along a long passage. At 3'10" by 18'10", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
