3531 · 10' x 13'3" Persian Kerman Oversized Rug

An ornate diamond medallion gives the deep blue field a wonderful focal point. A deep blue field stays open around an ornate diamond medallion worked like lace in camel, gold and light blue. Garlands of blossoms hang inward from the edges of the field, a signature Kerman gesture, and the navy main border answers with a rich floral scroll in camel and gold between camel guard bands. The contrast of saturated blue and warm gold gives the rug a formal, almost aristocratic bearing. The open field is the luxury here: the eye has room to rest and the medallion commands the space. It suits rooms with height and symmetry, and the blue deepens beautifully in evening light against brass and warm wood. At 10' by 13'3", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
