Columns of cream and dark brown hexagons repeat on this lovely rug. Deep red fills the field, where columns of cream and dark brown hexagons connect through striped bars. Smaller diamond shapes with brown cores run down the center between the main vertical bands. Half-hexagon motifs line the long edges where the red ground meets the side finish. A narrow near-black edge frames the length, holding the geometric drawing in place without a wide patterned border. A few patches of pile have thinned, and small white specks show where the weave sits low. It holds a warm tribal note in a tight spot, the cream shapes breaking up the solid red ground. At 1'8" by 5', it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
