The dark plum diamond medallion is the charming centerpiece of this burgundy rug. Worked on a burgundy field, lovely scrolling vines carry cream palmettes and steel blue blossoms with small gold centers. A gorgeous diamond medallion in dark plum holds a rust core with a steel blue center, and pendants point up and down the field. Dark plum corner pieces carry orange-red and light blue palmettes. The main border sits on dark plum, with rust, red and blue palmettes inside cream outlines. Cream floral bands and narrow blue and red stripes edge this border inside and out. A few scuffed patches across the field have pile worn low, where the foundation shows. The burgundy field set against the dark plum border makes a deep, warm center for a large room. At 9'6" by 12'8", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
