5204 · 3'3" x 6'10" Persian Hamedan Runner Rug

The dense herati lattice of this charming runner fills the deep red field. The deep red field carries a dense herati lattice in dark brown and ivory, filling the length with small rosettes and curled leaves. A cream diamond sits at the center as a small medallion, holding a dark brown cross within it. Cream spandrels with stepped edges sit at each end of the field, filled with scattered floral forms in rust and brown. The splendid main border is dark brown, carrying a chain of rose and ivory blossoms linked by graceful pale vines. Narrow bands in brown and red run along both edges of the border. Pile runs low in places over the center. The warm red color fills a narrow space without overwhelming it. At 3'3" by 6'10", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.

It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
