5680 · 3'1" x 13'11" Persian Gharajeh Runner Rug

The separate medallions of this charming runner are worked in cream, teal, dark blue and camel. The burgundy field holds a column of separate medallions, each a different shape, worked in cream, teal, dark blue and camel. Tiny flowers and hooked sprigs in blue, pink and cream are scattered over the red ground between them. The pile is low through the middle of the field, where the red reads paler, and full in the borders. A wide camel main border carries rows of dark abstract figures in navy, red and cream. A cream zigzag stripe sits inside it, with narrow dark red stripes of small blossoms on each side. It anchors a narrow passage, and the camel border warms the deep red ground. At 3'1" by 13'11", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
