1630 · 3'1" x 6'11" Persian Hamedan Runner Rug

The cream diamond medallion holds a red rosette at the center of this charming rug. Small geometric flowers and hooked vines in dark brown, cream and touches of blue fill the deep red field. A cream diamond medallion sits at the center, holding a red rosette with small blue and brown accents around it. Beautiful pale pink spandrels fill the four field corners, each carrying pretty red and brown floral sprays. The main border runs pale pink, set with a repeat of red heart-shaped leaves. Inside it, a brown guard stripe is dotted with small squares in red, teal, blue and pink, and a red band edges the outside. The pile has thinned in a few patches across the field, mostly on the right side, where the red reads paler. It brings warmth to a narrow passage, and the cream medallion breaks up the heavy red ground. At 3'1" by 6'11", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
