5083 · 8'3" x 11' Persian Gorevan Oversized Rug

The angular vines and hooked leaves crowding this deep red field are delightful. Angular vines and hooked leaves in ivory, steel blue, olive and gold crowd the deep red field. An eight-point star of red petals sits at the center, set in a dark lobed shape with pendants above and below. Beautiful ivory spandrels square off the four corners, holding red leaf scrolls and blue and olive blossoms. The main border runs navy, carrying cream hexagons, hooked gold forms and small red flowers. Narrow guard stripes in olive and red edge this broad frame on each side. Pile is full over the face and borders. The dense drawing gives a big room a lively focus, with the ivory corners lifting the deep red. At 8'3" by 11', it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
