4x7 Vintage Rugs

Vintage Turkish and Persian rugs measuring roughly 4x7 feet. Between accent and area size, good in front of a loveseat or beside a bed.

Turkish rugs outnumber Persian ones in this size, most of them from Isparta, and Baluch is the leading Persian name. Cream fields are the most common, followed by deep red, with a fair number in dusty rose and pink.

Every 4x7 is a single piece, hand-knotted about fifty years ago and washed by professional rug cleaners we have trusted for years before it went online. Isparta and Persian rugs alike were knotted by hand, so a 4x7 may be an inch or two off its name. Every rug’s page has the precise size in feet and inches, plus centimeters.

Insured shipping is on us for orders to the US and Canada. You can send the rug back within seven days (fourteen in the European Union).

Where a 4x7 rug works

The 4x7 fits a small living area or a bedroom where a larger rug would crowd the furniture. It also sits well in front of a sofa in a compact apartment.

Rooms for a 4x7

This size is also part of our bedroom rugs, living room rugs and study and office rugs.

The sizes on either side

A 4x7 sits between two close neighbors, the 4x6 rugs and the 4x8 rugs, and either may fit your room better. See medium rugs for the full group, or the size guide to match a rug to your furniture.

Mostly Isparta

Most 4x7 rugs here are Turkish, and the names that come up most often are Isparta, Baluch and Ferdos. Isparta makes up more than half of the size on its own; the Isparta guide and the Baluch guide compare the Turkish and Persian sides.

Pad, shipping, returns

Beside a bed or in front of a loveseat, a thin pad stops a 4x7 from bunching underfoot; our rug pad guide compares the types. Every order to the US and Canada ships free and insured, and shipping and returns has the full policy.
