4361 · 3'1" x 11'2" Persian Gorevan Runner Rug

Tan hexagonal cartouches sit in the deep red main border of this lovely rug. A chain of handsome red medallions runs the length of the dark navy field, hooked and angular in outline. The two end medallions are the largest, each with a pale blue cross at its core, and smaller red and pink diamonds step down the middle between them. Orange, gold, pink and blue flower heads fill the gaps, so very little of the navy sits bare. The deep red main border carries beautiful tan hexagonal cartouches, each with a small rosette, a flower seen from above, linked by navy lines. A narrow tan guard stripe with a stepped key pattern sits inside fine red and white dashes. The pile has barely worn. It anchors a long, narrow space with deep red and navy that stay rich against pale floors. At 3'1" by 11'2", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
