5560 · 7'10" x 11'6" Persian Kashan Oversized Rug

Charming linked cartouches and palmettes are set in the dark brown main border. At the center, a handsome lobed medallion sits on a deep red field crowded with delicate scrolling vines and small blue and cream blossoms. The medallion holds a cream core with a floral cross, ringed by dark brown, with pendants above and below. Dark brown spandrels hold sprays of rose, cream and green flowers in the four corners. The main border runs dark brown, set with linked cartouches and palmettes in cream, rose and blue. A cream band of small red and navy flowers lies outside and inside the border, between thin orange lines. The pile is low across the field, where the foundation shows in places and the red reads paler. The borders keep fuller pile. It brings a warm red center to a room, and the dark brown border holds it in a clear frame. At 7'10" by 11'6", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
