3x4 Vintage Rugs
Vintage Persian rugs measuring roughly 3x4 feet. Accent size, common beside a bed or under a small table.
This size is entirely Persian. Torkaman pieces make up close to half of it, and Tabriz is a distant second.
Each rug is the only one of its kind, hand-knotted some fifty years ago and washed and cleaned by specialists we have trusted for years before listing. Expect small differences from the 3x4 name, as no two hand-knotted rugs come off the loom at identical sizes. Measurements in feet and inches, plus centimeters, are listed on every rug’s page.
Insured shipping is free throughout the US and Canada. If the rug is not right, you can return it within seven days (fourteen in the European Union).

Where a 3x4 rug works
Almost square, a 3x4 fits where a long mat would look awkward: in front of an armchair, under a small desk chair, on a landing or at the foot of a crib.
Rooms that suit it
We also list this size under study and office rugs and kids room rugs.
Slightly smaller or larger
A few inches can decide whether a rug fits, so check the 2x4 rugs and 3x5 rugs on either side of this size. The broader collection is small rugs, and our size guide lists the measurements room by room.
The weaving behind them
Every 3x4 rug here is Persian, and the names that come up most often are Torkaman, Tabriz and Baluch. Torkaman rugs lead this size by a long way; the Torkaman guide, the Tabriz guide and the Baluch guide show how the three differ.
Before you lay it down
Under a desk chair or beside a crib, a thin pad keeps a 3x4 flat and stops it shifting; our rug pad guide helps you pick one. Shipping is on us across the US and Canada, insured all the way, and shipping and returns spells out the terms.
