3x10 Vintage Rugs

Vintage Persian rugs measuring roughly 3x10 feet. Long hall runners.

Each one is Persian; Hamedan leads, and Mahal and Arak follow. Nearly half have a deep red field.

Every runner here is a one-off, knotted by hand around fifty years ago and professionally washed and cleaned before listing by specialists we have used for years. At ten feet, a hand-knotted runner can differ from its label by several inches, so check the numbers before you order. The rug’s page lists its length and width in feet and inches, with centimeters in parentheses.

Shipping a 3x10 to the US or Canada costs nothing and is fully insured. Returns are accepted within seven days (fourteen in the European Union).

Where a 3x10 rug works

A 3x10 covers a long hallway or an upstairs landing. In a hall with doors on both sides, check that each door clears the pile when it swings open.

Halls and landings

Long runners like these also appear in our hallway and entry rugs, and choosing the right runner length helps you size a hall.

Other lengths to compare

A ten-foot hall may suit a slightly shorter or wider rug, so it pays to compare the 3x9 rugs and 4x10 rugs. The complete range sits under runners, and the size guide has the measurements for halls and landings.

Where they were woven

Every 3x10 rug here is Persian, and the names that come up most often are Hamedan, Mahal and Arak. Hamedan runners outnumber the rest, and the Hamedan guide, the Mahal guide and the Arak guide explain what separates the three.

Laying it out

Ten feet of wool covers a lot of floor, and a thin pad helps it lie flat from end to end; our rug pad guide shows which pad to use. Insured delivery is free across the US and Canada, with the full details on shipping and returns.
